Drilling a Chrome Bumper

Hey guys, I'm contemplating drilling a few holes on the underside of the front bumper on my new trk. Is there anything out of the ordinary when drilling a bumper that I should beware of. Will this cause the chrome plating to chip, creating a trouble spot in the future? Any input would be appreciated.

Drilling a Chrome Bumper

The previous owner of my truck drilled two holes in the chrome bumper for unknown reasons and they looked pretty clean- no chips or rust. If you do this I would treat for rust right after drilling.
