Heard a Clunk, Won't Reverse
About 50 feet later I heard it again and decided to head back since I had a 20 mile drive ahead of me and I didn't want to break down on the highway. After I got it back on the driveway, I put it in reverse and let go of the brake. The truck rolled back about 3 feet and just stopped. Drove it back up a bit, tried it again, and it did the same thing. I was hesitant to give it some gas and took my other car to work instead.
What could be the problem here? Tranny, transfer case, differential, etc? I replaced my rear end early last year after the gears practically exploded. I haven't had any problems since and before today, everything had been running great. Any suggestions? Thanks.
