need quick answer, '89 Engine/Tranny in '93????
My 89 long bed standard cab, long bed 5.0L engine has some dents and dings. I am told that it will take at least $800 to 1500 to bang out and put on minimal quality paint.
There is a '93 standard cab, long bed (no engine/tranny) for sale around here for $100. Is it more cost effective to swap the engine/tranny?

The engine/tranny is either a straight bolt-in or a bolt-in with some part changes depending what was in the truck before, so it should be more cost effective. Are you doing the powertrain swap yourself or farming it out?
