But the resistance should be between .5 and 1 ohm, which is almost a dead short, so some cheap meters just show 0 ohms (short) resistance.
Since the 87 and later systems use resistance feed back, a test light or power wire will show the plug good, but I have seen plugs show good that were up around 5 or 6 ohms.
Resistance that high on top of the missing plug, short glow cycles.
Short glow cycles = hard starts.
Fuel system cleaners will fix a lot of problems, but rusted IP parts is not one of the ones it will fix.
