Since the 87 and later systems use resistance feed back, a test light or power wire will show the plug good, but I have seen plugs show good that were up around 5 or 6 ohms.

Resistance that high on top of the missing plug, short glow cycles.
Short glow cycles = hard starts.

Fuel system cleaners will fix a lot of problems, but rusted IP parts is not one of the ones it will fix.
dave what can be done to increase the glow cycle . I had proposed that I plug GP in the harness and have lay on the side of the head this will trick the controller and increase the cycle can that work?
