Hey guys I have a couple of questions. A friend of mine is selling serveral paint guns. He use to do quite a bit of body/paint work on cars and got out of it. Anyway the guns he told me about were a Binks, Sharpe, and a Devibiss. Not sure of the spellings on these, but he said the guns would sold new for around $300-$400. I was wondering if you guys have heard of these and if you know if they are good quality guns. I am going to restore my 79 F-150 4x4 and was wanting to do some of the painting myself. Let me know what you guys think..
For finish coats I use a Binks MIG-1 gun. Its HVLP
For primer, I use a DeVillbiss Millenium also HVLP
I think the Binks just rests better in my hand, so that is why I use it the most. The Devillbiss is so sweet when it comes time to clean up (disposable liners)
I really recommend that you look at a company called "hobby-air"
they sell a forced air respirator, and HVLP gun combo. Yes thats probably expensive, but If it keeps you alive....well hard to put a price on that.
I will be happy to answer any questions, just e-mail me.
