Has anyone put a belt driven compressor on a 5.4l f-250 i had an electric one and it was crap would much rather have a belt driven one. I know all the jeep guys are using york compressors and i know of one person that has put one on his 6.0l

check out vmac.ca. yes one fits there and aligns with the belts. You install new bracket(all different for each engine) mount compressor etc. Not sure where it goes on your engine but the diesels go where the second alternator goes. WHole kit comes complete. However this is expensive. Unless you are going to use this for work where it will pay for itself this is really no good for personal use. And by expensive i mean 10000$ installed. Now im a mechanic and demand the use of this everyday, iam going to install myself save bout 2000$. If you only want to fill your own tires if off roading then would stick to cheap electric ones.
