Putting a 4'' lift on my 91 F150 and first bolt I took out was frozen solid. Finally got it out and the next one was stuck worse. Only a million more to go! Gonna have to cut the rear shackle bolt on both sides. I picked up a nice set of 5 leaf F250 leaves to replace the broken stockers. They look much taller than my leaves. Any idea how much taller the truck will sit in the rear? I am trying to avoid any blocks. I have a sky mfg shackle flip that I can use if the 250 springs wont make up the height difference. I would be ditching the stock block ofcouse with the shackle flip. Any input?
Yea, I hit them all with PB blaster a few days ago and again before I started. The rear ones are seized in the bushings pretty good. Inpact gun cant turn them and all a big breaker bar does is load up the springs...
dont you just love seized and rusted bolts. lol. time to do some cuttin? and my f150 with a 3 inch body lift is about the same hight as a f250 at the top of the hood and cab, if that helps u at all...
And it is a cali truck with no rust at all!!! Thats the ****ty part, I think to unlike metals started sharing electrons and welded them selves together.
well now you know what its like for us up north. im in canada and the roads are like pure salt for at least 4 months lol. well maybe not PURE salt... lol
yeh torch them off, about the easiest
are you puttin in the 250 springs with the stock blocks???
if not then i think you will need the shackle reversal
