Hello all Ford lovers, I've been lurking for a few weeks and decided to register.First of all, thanks for all the great information on the vehicles as I just purchased my second Ford product and the vehicle did not come with owners manuals.I just got a used, bone stock black 02 Expedition loaded with tan leather,4x4,5.4 v8,air suspension,90k mi (to be used for family trips, and to pull a future fishing boat). We got a killer deal on the Expy because the air compressors rubber vibration bushings were shot and the unit was making a lot of noise and vibration,so I got the price lowered 1500 less than the original asking price and a manageable monthly payment.I ordered the parts online and installed the new bushings as soon as the delivery truck dropped em off.Cant even tell it kicks on now!.....Anyways, I still own my first car which is a Ford product. Its a 63 Mercury Monterey, all original except the dual exhaust, edelbrock intake and carb, and fat white wall tires. The back "breezeway window" still rolls down and the 390Fe big block still has lots of power.Once again thanks for all the priceless information as I always try to do all my work on my cars....
Thanks,
G.Billena
aka "Uncle Stinky"
Hello alloro, hahahaa funny you asked...my sister coined my alias when I was down visiting family.I came in smelling like fish after a day of offshore fishing and my nephew said hello Uncle G and my sister said "No! thats Uncle Stinky!Take a shower!"...Stuck ever since.....
That's a sweet 63 Mercury Monterey has that been restored ?
Thanks cbradford... Ive had the car since 94,second owner, all original(never had body work, paint)All I have done is get tires, edelbrock intake/carb,new battery, freshened up the original 390v8 in 2000,painted the engine bay, dual straight pipes into 14in glasspacks, freshened up the suspension with new shocks/bushings....otherwise all original, had it since high school.Im saving the funds for the stainless to be gone through so I can proceed with paint.....hopefully one day my sons will appreciate the car...
Thanks
