The REAL DEAL Ohio March B/S Madness session

The truck isn't going anywhere(not really roadworthy anymore), and like I mentioned before I'm waiting for warm weather to start tearing it apart. If you needed it at any specific time, I can pop out the window and remove the hitch. Glad to be of assistance. Hope I can find homes for more of it.

Well, had a busy weekend.
Saturday started out with a trip to Plain City, Ohio to meet up with an internet group I've been apart of since 1999ish. FOKISD (ford ohio kentucky indiana super duty club). There is a website www.fokisd.org. We used to be really big with alot of things going on during the year, but with the cost of fuel it's really put a hurt on the club. Nice day for a roadtrip anyway.
Sunday I was suppose to attend another meeting for antique truck club (ATHS.org), but..................it was suppose to be even nicer out and the bike was just calling my name LOL!! I got up, tinkered with my '69 a bit(get it ready for summer). I had suspicion that the fuel pump was getting weak as it would not fill the carbs after sitting a couple weeks. I borrowed the pump off my blown galaxie and WOW....it now pumps fuel and starts fine. No more priming the carbs for 10 minutes.
Buddy came over to work on Tbird, then after an hour he was done and we decided it was BIKE TIME. I followed him to his house to get his bike, we went for lunch and then caught up with another friend and took off. I put about 90 miles on it, the air was pretty warm, but still wore gloves and leather jacket as if you got up to 55mph, the wind still was a bit nip at times.
Got home about 6pm, dug the '69 out and gave it a bath so I could drive it to work today. Suppose to be hi 50's today, 60's tomorrow. Gunno enjoy it while I can, as rain comes Wednesday.
The '67 has been sitting since Nov? I got in, pumped the gas and turned the key. Boom, it started right up. Nice..........too bad it's lifespan has come to an end. It's on the list of "to-do".

The nice weather has got me cleaning out some parts and Saturday and Sunday sold a few hoods and some valances and 2 chrome grilles and met some nice 1956 ford truckers.
I also sold 1 of 4 of my case tractors...and hate to part with it. These have hydraulic drive and are strong as an ox.....I move my 56 F600 with 1, anyway...my buddy is getting married and have to get a tux.....crap........and I have to decide if I want to haul 2 more trucks north or keep them down south.
I need to paint my 53,but the weather is calling me to do yard work and I cut down 5 more red-oak trees and hauling the 20 plus foot logs to the sawmill.
Plus I need to buy another 16-24' trailer and looking around for a deal.
You guys have a nice day......Walford

Well, another eventful weekend, sorta. Worked on the Tbird on Sat afternoon. Got a new driveshaft tunnel welded in, as the old stock one had been cut up before and didn't look very nice. Installed a custom rolled one and looks pretty clean now. (sorry no pics yet).
Sunday was suppose to be another work day. Wrong. I did clean up some leave around the back of the house(they blow in around the rear and dump around the door). I also resealed the windsheild in my '95. Whoever put the last window in did a shabby job as it had two leaks(in the upper corners). I pulled the chrome off, notice the sealer had dips in the corner where water could leak in. After cleaning the area up, used some window sealer and covered it all up. It self leveled and seeped in the crack, so it should be nice and dry from now on.
It was then "bike time". Buddy showed up(on his), so we rode instead of worked. It was 50*, so not quite nice, but livable. We went from Canton, up thru Akron, to Fairlawn had lunch then worked are way back down thru Barberton to Summit Racing. Made a stop then at buddys place to see what's up. We headed home about 5:30, as the sun was sinking and the wind picked up. Not a bad weekend overall.
