PSD cabin warmup, idle or high idle?
This question is not about what is right for the X, (sorry) but what is right for my infant. When I want to prewarm the X to take my daughter out, which will get the cabin warmer faster, idle or high idle?
I have a DI 6 position chip that will bump the idle to 1100 rpm.
Will this warm it up faster than the 650 stock rpm?
I thought that since the fan is turning faster it might not get warm as fast.
Anyone done an experiment?
Thanks
Bob

Depending upon your outside temperature, that might take a while. Wisconsin has been quite cold yet. Single digits with 5 to 11 minutes to warm up the oil and scrape windows, it's still a five minute drive before I have any useful heat. I am using a 203 thermostat. That has helped me.
