fuel problems on a 7.3
I have a 99 E350 7.3, have problems in cold weather, it started with blowing a fuse for glow plug, replaced relay and was ok, then it got cold and when it's below 20deg. it will run for 5 to 10 minutes then blow the same fuse and stalls.is there a fuel heater somewhere in the system that may be shorted and when the cold fuel reaches it and turns on the heater then blows the fuse? otherwise it runs fine. Welcome to FTE Jim. What number fuse are you blowing? There is a fuel heater in the fuel bowl, and if the heater is bad, then it will blow the fuse which is the same fuse that is connected to the PCM (computer). I know on some it is #30. You can unplug the plug on the fuel bowl and it will not blow the fuse and kill the truck, but you will not have a fuel heater. Try this and let us know what you find.
