Can I replace 2003 PSD with 2006 PSD?
Due to EGR leak and antifreeze in cylinder my June 03 build 6.0 is trash. I have found takeouts available... 2004, 2005 or 2006. Will they each replace the 03 without problems... and is any one better than another? I know I am asking for more abuse by replacing with another 6.0... but don't want the expense of converting to Cummins. Truck is daily driver King Ranch... rarely pulls ... had 130k on it when bent rods. Has anyone done this... problems?

Sorry to hear about your 03. Does the 06 have the lowest mileage? I would go with the 06. Ask the dealer for an OASIS report and let that be your guide. It will show all warranty work done to the vehicle.

All engines are under 10k miles (are factory takeouts).... my concern is with compatability of computer (PCM?) fuel injection.. all sensors, etc. I'm optimistic they would all talk to each other.... you have to be to put in another 6.0L! I also suspect the newest should be the best....
