We had a few early last summer. I was working in Laramie and did not listen to the warnings and tried to drive home on 1-80. I made it about half way to the Walmart on grand and the wind was blowing so hard I couldn't drive. I pulled over wildly and parked up tight against a building so the car wouldn't blow away. When it finally ended (about 10 minutes) I drove to the Happy Jack exit and tried to make it home on the back road. There was so much hail frozen into a sheet that I couldn't drive there either. Got turned around and cruised home at 35 on 1-80. Took about 3 hours all together to drive 45 miles.

I remember it always being cold and nasty in Laramie as I grew up. Then I move there and saw some crazy stuff that I never thought I would see in Laramie.

Yea i remember the laramie twister, i was there. actually i was at east campus a mile or two from wally world on grand. Not too bad of a storm, minor damge probably an f-0. The snow afterwards was just wierd.
Like i said im from oklahoma, while all the kids from the northern states where losing there frekaing minds, me and a few southern buds where sitting back thinkin, i thought i left this at home. ive seen quite a few f-5s when i was back home. 305+ mph winds, moore oklahoma may 3 ,1999 ( i just turned 9) live just outside of OKC (moore is a suburb of OKC) whent he f5 swept through. Tearing a path of destruction a mile and a half wide.
Tearing the asphalt off the road, Carrying LOCOMOTIVES and train cars miles from the tracks. Just search up may 3 1999 on google, it will come up with some videos and pictures, worst out break of tornados in written history. 79 touch downs in oklahoma alone. 119 within the storm across 3 other states. Spanning from the pand handle of texas, to kansas, missouri, and arkansas.
I loe my thunderstorms, although yalls thunderstorms, sorry, aint much.
As far as floods go, when i started tech, we got hit by the oncoming floods of missouri, the town im from is an hour from joplin, MO. I lost my niece to that flood, when my cousins car became engulfed in flood waters...she was lost to the raging current. Same place where i would cross in my truck that was maybe 2 feet deep, and 10 feet across, was 12 feet deep and a 1000 feet across. It was horrible. The bridge was completly destroyed, are only way out of the valley we lived in, besides the 30-100 miles of backroads.
Yes i remember when i was 16 years old, taking a back road to fayettville arkansas, about 75 miles from wher ei was from, Just so i could go be with my now ex while her dad was in the hospitial.
