why will the overdrive light on the shifter lever not come on when you press the button??
is that what your talking about?
the button on the end just pops out with a little help from a pocket knife, comes out like a plug that has three little prongs, but as far as the light bulb i'm not sure if you might need a whole new shifter lever??
i just bought one a few months ago, dealer item-$50.00
Was just curious about that end, will try the prying now that I know it'll give Brian.
Still works fine on the shift, just like the idiot light for piece of mind.
Found the thread on lever replacement Dan, just hoping for a quicker fix.
Probably a broken wire in the shifter column. Several posts on the subject. I found mine and spliced in a new piece of wire. Works fine now. Hammer
If thats the case....and you have more than one wire needing spliced.....the wiring scheme is as follows:
Purple/Brown = 1
Light Blue/Tan = 2
Green/White = 3
there are pics in my gallery under tid bits folder
