How do I?

I have a 1994 F150 xtra cab short bed. When I bought the truck the bed was dented a little. The part of the bed right next to the cab is dented in to almost touch the cab. How do I go about pulling this out? I am getting a cap and it wont fit correctly the way it is. I will post a pic when I get home. Thanks in advance.

Bill

you should just be able to pull it out with hands. If its what I'm thinking, it is from something like a three or four wheeler being rode up in the truck.

How do I?

This Is what I did to an old Chevy:
1. drop the tailgate
2. place a 6ft 4x4 on the tailgate
3. hook up a come-along to the 4x4 and place a couple layers of rags between the wood and the steel.
4. drill a hole in the upper lip of the bed behind the cab as close to the deformity as possible
5. insert an eye bolt (1/4"x4") with a couple of washers on the cab side
6. hook up the come-along and start cranking.

The holes in the bed can be filled with silicon or welded shut and the 4x4 will not dent the rear of the bed.
