small vaccum leak

i keep getting this reading from time to time and no it isnt the cap. anyone else deal with this? drives me nut's trying to find it!!! it's an 04 with a 3.0

Its not clear what reading you are getting nor what cap you are referring to. Is the "reading" you check engine light is on or is it from your scanner tool. If that is the case, what letter and number(s) are coming up? Would you give us more information and then we can give you some help.

its the gas cap and it is in fuel system small vaccum leak

Do our Rangers have a charcoal canister? Perhaps there is a leak in it's plumbing?
