I've got 4" straight pipe from the down pipe back and exits in front of the right rear tire. The turbo whistle is really loud but the "whooshing" noise from all the air being pushed is REALLY loud up until about 2200 rpm when the raspy V8 sound kicks in. Is it normal to get a ton of "whoosh" along with the turbo whistle like this??
man....after going back and re-reading this post out loud, i really must sound mildly retarded haha!
that sound when you start it up? or its there all the time?
when your truck is cold the hissing sound will go away once its worms up. other than that if you just put the exhaust on the truck you will hear strange noises. i just put my 4" duals on the dually and i love it....
maybe be more specific with woosh .
"whooshing" is all the way up till about 2200 rpm when it's cold or op. temp. Is it possible for the vanes to stick up until a certain rpm and then blow themselves open? seems like boost is normal so i'm not sure...
