I got a 1996 F-250 4x4 Stroker, XLT, Ext. Cab and
it has big a$$ tow mirrors on it that bolt to the door
and i was wondering if they could be removed so i could put
factory ones on the door?? How would I go about doing this
and where do the factory mirrors mount?? Also how would I fill
in the holes?? Bodyfiller?? Has anyone done this before??
where would i get a set of factory mirrors?? salvage yard??
Any help appreciated??
its more trouble than its worth. i believe the mirrors mounting points have brass nuts that are kinda piched between the skin. u'd have the punch them out and body fill them and glass them over so they don't crack. then have the whole door painted to cover up the patches. then its carefull mesurements to place the new mirrors and drill the holes. not worth it to me, but doable
