jog my memory
on cold starts my truck is fine, but about half the time on a hot start it throws a check engine light and has an odd romp, and would occasionaly cough like the CPS is acting up, so I threw my spare (new) CPS in the other day and it is still doing it, it has not thrown the CEL but it still has the odd romp and will 'cough' intermittantly. I remember there is a sensor that has o-rings that when the o-rings start to fail it will cause odd hot start problems, which one is it?? I do remember that when I un-plug it if there is oil in the connector then the o-rings are failing, and with the rain beginning to fall I don't want to just go and start un-plugging everything under the hood until I find the culprit, so a slight memory prod would be appreciated!!

Injector Pressure Regulator, IPR. Sounds like the o-rings are shot. I'd replace them and all should be fine.... Ford sells the IPR o-ring kit. You can do it in your driveway with a few hand tools and sockets. Should only take you an hour or so. Good luck
