Assuming both carburetors are original, NO, you CANNOT swap the two carbs without other modifications. The 1980 used a conventional carburetor, while the 1985 302model used a "Feedback" (computer controlled) carburetor.

Well no, you cannot use a 302 distributor in a 351 engine.
The feedback carburetor uses a different, computer controlled distributor and ignition system than a coventional setup.
Which truck and engine are you going to USE? Between the two trucks, which one do you want to end up with? We can start there.

There is also a venturi size number on the side of the carb somewhere. Maybe someone knows where it is, I am not sure, but it sizes the carb and you will want that to be the same. For instance, I think a valid venture size was 1.08. A 302 might have had a smaller venturi than a 351 engine.
