Having just taken mine partially apart, I know the door pillars will have to come out because they seem to be the main support structure holding up the headliner. For the center and rear pillars there is a 10mm bolt at the top and also held in place by a series of clips. You have to remove the upper seat belt brackets. On the front pillars, I'm not sure, but I think they have bolts in place too. I didn't remove mine and don't recall the diagram from my manual. I'm pretty sure the sun visors, the overhead console and rear dome lights will need to come out too. There should be a molding strip around the sunroof that should just peel off. Where the piece separates, pull on end away from the headliner and you'll see how it's held in place. At least that's how it was in my Expedition.
