i have been slowly taking the front clip apart on the 53 and have discovered that as i remove the fasteners it's all in a bind . it's pinching the bolts etc. to the left as i pull 'em out . not a good sign . i may have inadvertently discovered why mine { the cab } sits down a little to the left . it has been in a wreck in it's life , as anyone who's seen her can tell you . right front fender is the oe meadow green and where they molded the splash pan in has been broken out , and the cab corner is dented inwards just below the louvres . oh well , cant wait to see what me findz next !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh yeah according to the wife and others we all have issue's anyway , old ford trucks .........

Thats what you get when fiddling around with something that old and worked hard all its life.

I did the same thing with my '53 and discovered that it was held together with rust. No turning back now.
