The 05' Lightning

The 2005 lightning: In truck trend they said that it is rumored to be getting a DOHC i repeat a DOHC 5.4L V-8 with get this Twin, i say again TWIN! superchargers. Man i can't wait, and all those truck people are saying the SRT-10 is the fastest, most powerful truck with 500/500, the 05' lightning with probably a 100 more horse and torque. I hope that the price doesn't go way up like the power rating does.

82' Flareside: zoom zoom doesn't even begin to describe it, 2/4 Drop, Soon to have 325hp 351 Clevo (maybe more,in a 3600lb truck)Backed by a C6 with a 2000 rpm stall and a 3.50 9 incher, American Racing AR-23 (series 23) wheels, Upgraded interior, Sony Xplod stereo

the dohc i believe, but not the twin s/c. theres no way to mount it. it would definitely be a single positive dispalcment style just like the new cobra. there would be no need or reason for 2 of them.

I have heard in theory it might work to have 2 superchargers, never seen it in practice, but the idea goes having one roots blower and one centri, roots for the low end and centri for the high end....

I can't remember where but i know where you buy a twin centri kit for FE fords(i think it is the 427&428 cobra and supercobra jet engines) for something like 6000+. But if you think about it all a person would have to do is design an manifold adpater to accept twin roots(or whatever your heart desires).

The '05 will feature the 330 cid W/one Twin Screw type blower, much like the Kenn -Bell design

the roots and a centri. i think would be the best way to go but i read an article that by upgrading a lightnings supercharger to the mentioned above you can have a total output of i think it was 511hp with a 9 in crank pulley and a 1 3/4 blower pulley i think. And thats without any other mods other than a throttle body (they used an expiremental one in article of truckin.

i've seen a guy's website that has twin eatons on a t-bird with a (i think) 351W. he doesn't have a hood, and it was a home fab job i believe. it's not terribly fast for the effort put into it, but the wow factor is really there.

Send me your emails and I will forward a pic of an Austin Martan Vantage with twin superchargers.

For those that don't know, Austin Martin is a fully owned compnay of Ford!
