Weak motor problem
Im not sure what size engine I have but i think its a 351W(just got the truck). Anyway I live in Boone, NC in the mountains and when i try to climb the hill to my house the truck bogs down real low even in 1st gear. What could this be? Also it needs a patch in the exhaust but not a big hole.

Check your base timing with a timing light, and verify the vacuum advance on the distributor is functioning.

he did not mention that it was a fresh rebuildt motor nor did he metion it has a brand new carb,,i had the same problem so i rebuilt my carb for $45 and bam,,,engine ran fine,,i was just saying that if it still had the stock carb its usually a good idea to rebuild them
