Hello everyone, I have a strange one here. Every once in awhile, my truck will continually try to unlock the doors by itself. I have noticed it happens every time there is an electrical “change” in the system. For example, if I depress the brake pedal and let go, it will unlock. If I turn the headlights on then off, it will unlock. Same applies if the truck is turned off. If I try to arm the alarm (factory) the doors will lock but them immediately unlock after the lights flash. The funny thing is, when my truck is going through this issue, my unlock button does not work inside the truck. It will also happen at a certain throttle position.

Maybe a bad ground wire or a short somewhere in the wiring. Just for the heck of it, try spraying some WD-40 or an equivalent into the door latches and see if anything changes. The courtesy light switches work from the door latches, and they have been known to cause other anomalies.
Thanks for the input. I tried spraying the latches and it did not work. I know what you are taking about though because I had to constantly do that on my 97 F-150.
I did have the battery tested at Checker and it looked good with the exception of the cranking amps. It was about 25 amps lower than labled. I will give it a shot...
I figured it out. The dealer installed their alarm harness across where the e brake came up, thus smashing the wires and removing the insulation. A little electrical tape and the problem was solved.
