2wd Turning Radius?
Hey guys,
Doing some house addition planning... both my trucks, '77F350 Camper Special and a '78F150, are 2wd longbed standard cabs. Just wondering if anyone has read a spec or actually measured the turning radius for these years. Want to make sure the turning areas are adequate.
Did some searches and couldn't find this mentioned.
Thanks!
Claude

Just lay your driveway with gravel. Goose the throttle in the tight turns.
That'll cut your radius in half. Neighbors will just love you too.

Cool question! :)
I'd like to see list.
Claude, what's your wheel base on the Camper Special?
I've modified the turning radius on my '75 133" F150 2wd.
Reduced it by about 3 feet best I can tell. I'll find a flat patch of dirt and
measure mine as soon as I get some figures to compare 'em to.
There were usually two figures given in the old days when they printed
out such things regularly or was it just VW did that? :/
Anyway...
wall to wall
curb to curb

LOL :)
Makes me think about my old dune buggy days using the turning brakes.
Or riding with my grandpa when he was plowin'.

ps- I'm just hoping Bill the ND has a list for us ;)

I'd like to hear a real answer myself.
Sorry for the bad joke, couldn't resist.

HA! Yeah Murph, that's certainly one approach. Why didn't I think of that?!
The '77 one-ton CS is the 140" extended wheelbase, the '78 halfer is 133".

Anybody got the Ford specs on a 2wd '75 F150 133" wheel base?
I finally got around to measuring it and it's ~45 feet curb to curb.
But I modified mine. :)
I'm figuring the Ford spec should be between 48 and 52 feet.
There's a couple more in this thread that went unanswered too.
