Hey everyone . does any one know if a 2003 headlight switch assmebly will work in a 2000 , my 2000 dosnt have the auto shut off on the **** and that would be nice to have any help would be great and thanks Dan
Because of the different options available, I would be skeptical as to them having the same plug. If you can find one in a junk yard or get the chance to compare the plug, I would start there.
I think you might be confusing the terms a little. We are thinking about auto lights, which have a sensor on the dash to turn your head/tail lights on when it's dark. It also dims the interior lights, like it would if you flipped the switch manually. I think you might be talking about DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps) which come on with the vehicle. I am not sure what disable Ford uses, but older chevy's used one click of the e brake.
yes I am talking about the switch that is to the left of the steering coloum in the dash it turns your headlights on the one in my truck now has off, parking lights, headlights on, the switch in I believe 2002 on up had a 4 th postion that you could leave the switch set there and the light will shut off and turn on when it stats to get dark or a few miniutes after shuting off the truck , I guess there would have to be some kind of a light senser to indicate when its dark or light out , thanks
