Hopeful Return!

After a foolish 2 year endeavor with an '06 Tacoma, I am looking at trading it in for an '03 F-150 FX4 with 101,000 miles. At only $8995, even with the negative equity I owe on the Tacoma, I should still end up paying less monthly with an earlier loan payoff date. I've regretted trading in my '99 F-150 almost immediately after doing so. Wish me luck guys, I hope to be posting among you again once more!

You have seen the light. Welcome back. But just out of curiosity, what didn't you like about the Tacoma?

There isn't anything specific that makes me dislike the Tacoma really. I think it is mainly that I got so used to a full size 4X4 truck that downsizing to a PreRunner really made a difference. I was a little disappointed with initial quality of the Tacoma. I've had 3 TSB's done under warranty including replacing the clutch pedal, front bumper mounts, and rear leaf springs. I've also had to re solder a resistor inside the overhead temp/direction display. Also, my wife liked the more "boat-ish" ride of the F-150 and she refuses to learn how to drive a manual (Tacoma is a 6-speed).

Well, that deal fell through, but I'm going to keep looking. Hopefully another one will turn up.
