Shocks,

I think i need new shocks up front.

very squeeky sound when going over speed bumps and such. (when the front end is bouncing up and down.

also, front tires were worn in a wierd pattern. every other center lug on the tires was worn low then high then low etc....

Do the diesels require any special kind of shock due to the added weight?

What about gas charged shocks?

go with Bilstein shocks, you won't be sorry. Lifted or not, they will make a HUGE difference

Prolly not your shocks making the noise. It's your sway bar bushings i'd bet. Though new shocks will help your ride.

I'm not sure about any special shocks, but I will second the Bilsteins. They are the favorite on here for a reason.

You are really scaring me.... I can do my own ball joints.. but damn I dont want to. they are a pain in the ****....

I also have some steering issues... it feels like the front wheels just dart one way or the other sporadicaly with out me moving the steering wheel.

but.. sway bar bushings make sense for the squeeky sound.

Just so you guys know, according to one of our new sponsors, Trucksprings.com, Bilstien is coming out with a new shock just for our trucks with a leveling kit on the front end. Supposed to be out next month. Will get mine asap. Oh yeah, they will be silver and not yellow.

yeah they are a pain i just didnt have the time to do them myself and my truck is my daily driver and it was destroying expensive tires.....so what you describing does sound like ball joints or/also your connecting rods tie rods check it all out or just swing it by a alignment shop and ask to get a check up
