Just wanted to make sure I let y'all know how things turned out.
I started with a truck that had no glow plug light when I turned it on. I replaced the Glow Plug Relay, and all the glow plugs, and now the truck fires up on the first time turning over. Amazing how great it is when things work like they are supposed to.
Also, since I replaced the coolant temperature sensor, on cold mornings the idle is higher. It runs great now and I am no longer scared to drive it on cold days.
I guess when you have things go wrong, you really appreciate when they go right.
This morning ... 30 degrees. Walked outside, and thought ... "oh no ... I wonder if she's really gonna start". After 2 seconds of the starter being engaged, she rumbled to life. Thanks again everyone for the help!
glad you got every thing fixed, well yesterday morning it was about 25 degrees out side had to go to town, went to crank my truck glow plug lite was normal about 10-12 sec, hit the switch crank over tried to fire on every crank, but just wouldnt(cranked about 10 turns,) so waited cranked it again turned about 5 times fired up run a little ruff then smoothed out after a second hardest crank ever for that truck usaully fires off within the second turn of the motor, so looks like i need glow plugs, but i think i can wait till next winter before i get them since its suppose to warm up now, weather man is predicting 70 degrees this week
mine will usaully fire off on the second or third turn down until the temp gets under 15 degrees then it a little harder to start but for a while u have been noticing it will miss a little more in the morning till the other day when it was harder to crank so i will be putting glow plugs in some time
