FICM replaced

I previously posted that I had an issue with my 05 PS rough starting or starting and running rough for 45 sec to a minute. I took my truck to a local dealer who determined that the FICM was bad along with #5 injector. My question to you all is did one cause the other or maybe was a coincidence? Something else that worries me is can tuners cause either to go bad? I have in the past run tunes from Innovative and recently a tune from Spartan. Since I have stock head bolts I do not run anything really hot, I think both tunes were +100 hp or so. I am not a diesel expert so I am just wondering. Btw, the dealer did see that I had tuned the truck but did not really say much about it.

How did the dealer see that? Did you forget to return it back to stock? I am running the SCT just curious..

I did return to stock, but I did not have time to do the battery disconnect procedure. I do believe that there is indeed some residual stuff in the computer when you revert to stock.
