78 headlight change

just did this swap, but the other way around 76' to 78-79'. i have all the leftover parts, btw. there is a good thread on this if you do a search under "grille". the only major part difference is a smaller plate above the headlights which mounts to the radiator support. the 78 is larger and the headlight bracket mounts to it where the earlier plate bolts to the radiator surround itself. of course the headlights are lower and the signals above in the earlier models. i believe you'll need to drill out two holes, possibly four, to mount the headlight brackets though it's not too difficult to get the placement.

Are you still using the 78/9 grille only to change the buckets from rectangular headlights to round style???? This only requires the bolt in change of the buckets and headlight suround.
If you are changing the entire grille to the 73-77 grille, then you will have a little drilling on the radiator supprt to do, but this is an easy swap.
