Finally made the plunge and nabbed an exhaust system. I decided on a Diamond Eye 5" inch turbo back system, mostly because of the price. Has anyone on here had any experiences with Diamond Eye systems? I have read some old posts, and I am afraid of a nightmare installation.
IMO theres only two hard parts, removing the old system (be sure to have a sawzall, and some PB or penetrating oil to help with losening the bandclamp at the turbo) and installing the downpipe. The downpipe goes best with two people, however Ive done two systems on my own, with no help. Be sure to only loosely attatch it to the turbo, untill everything is were you want it, then tighten everything.
Just have someone to help you take a sawzal cut the old exhaust out have someone help you line up the down pipe and after that it is simple and down hill from there.
All I can say is good luck! I can't speak for the Diamond Eye singles, but my duals were an MF'er to get installed.... ended up taking it to a shop because I was tired of laying on my back in the rocks trying to get the sunny beach to fit right.
It took three of us two hours to install the down pipe, there is no room for error, it has to be dead *** perfect before the clamp will go on. It wa worth it, man it totaly changed the sound of the truck. Not sure what it did to the EGT's because I installed the pyro after the pipes.
