I have a 97 F250 7.3 PS and when you turn on the right hand turn signal, the cruise control shuts off. If you have it off and are driving 55 mph it drops out of OD to 4 th. The rear L brake light is out also and the bulb is good. I cant get trailer lighs except for the markerr lights. Anyone have good ideas or had this problem besides me. I need to get it fixed so I can haul my trailer.

It's not dropping out of overdrive, it's dropping the lock-up convertor out. That is activated by stepping on the brake. Also the cruise is de-activated by stepping on the brake. I have heard of people having problems like these, and it's usually a bad bulb or corrosion in the socket playing havock with the brake signal circuit, and that makes the lock-up convertor and the cruise control act crazy. I woudl concentrate on the rear bulbs and sockets.
