Ford Letters

My R and D on the hood have fallen off, I'm assuming was like that when I bought it. The pins are still in the hood. I was wondering what will be the easiest way to put my new letters on? How do you remove the leftover pins?

Thanks

Here are some pics of what I'm talking about:

take a nail and take a hammer, and simply tap the pins in, unless you can get pliers on them, then you can pull them out, or you could match a drill bit and drill them out? its up too you really, and you can either get a r and d from you local wrecking yard or you can order a brand new set from Lmc or John Carpenter or even Bronco graveyard might have what ya need, i don't think you will find any stock Ford NOS emblems but you can do a quick search on Ebay and see what they have, and you might even get some vintage ford ones in the box! good luck with your little project and restore F.O.R.D.'S glory on your hood!

Thank you, I did get lucky last month or so and was able to buy a nice used set of Ford letters for $30.00.

Wrecking Yards are abundandt with those letters around here.

1978-1981 F-100/F-350
1978-1981 Bronco
1975-1981 Econoline

All Use the Same Hood Letters, and some of the Econolines use them for the rear door as well.

Hope this helps..

Don't we all wish our trucks where possessed then they could fix and restore them selves! that would cut a lot of costs on my frame up restoration! i think Christine is every car guys dream, minus the killing and jealousy, lol lol but i think these old trucks and cars have way more spirit too them then the soul less robotic built modern cars have, i think the way they where built had a lot too do with the charm of old cars, modern cars and trucks are designed by computers and built be mostly robots, unlike the old iron that was human designed and mostly human built

and i know i am way
