460 hei

HAS ANYONE INSTALLED ONE OF THESE $65 HEI DISTRIBUTORS FROM eBay? I WANT TO KNOW IF THEY ARE ANY GOOD? I'M DOING SOME MODS TO MY MOTOR AND THAT SEEMED LIKE IT COULD BE COOL. I'M TRYING TO MAKE MY WIRING EASY...ONE WIRE ALTERNATOR, TWO WIRE DIST, AND MECHANICAL GAUGES. THE REASON BEING IS I'M THROWING MY 82 F150 AWAY PRETTY SOON AND PUTTING MY BUILT MOTOR INTO A 68 F100 IT'S GONNA BE RAD.

I put one on my 77 460, had to grind on the thermostat housing and the distributor a little to get it to turn a bit, and had to go with a different air cleaner to clear the cap. worked pretty well but I would not do it again, if you do go this way, make sure its the proper size where it fits into the block, got one for another motor and it was too small, got it from Gr8 something or other on ebay, made by wysco I think, junk it was sent it back but he would not pay shipping even though he knew it was the wrong part. 1st was procomp and it is still working good just cannot turn it very far..

Using all caps is the same as yelling. Not the right way to go.
