need some help!!!
hi , new to forum. glad i found it.
i have a 1999 ford f-150. a few days ago i see the temp gauge going up from the normal 1/2 way point. when warming up the truck, cool air comes out when the heat is on. as soon as i get going hot air comes out. last night, on the highway the temp needle was pegged in the full mark. and my oil light came on. i drove app 5 miles like this to a gas station. as soon as i parked at the gas station the oil light went off and the temp gauge went back to the 1/2 way normal point, within a minute of parking. i opened the hood. motor was cool. oil is fine.
dont get it. any help would be great.. thanks, jim btw i have 145, 000 on truck.

Low coolant level can give you these symptoms. It wouldn't hurt to check the oil level too. Good luck!
