Service Engine Soon Light
New to group , good to be here looks like a ton of help here, I'm sure to reference this group before any other source!
My question,
When you get a SES light and have fixed the problem, do you need to reset these codes via a OBD computer, or will the light automatically go off on its own?

Thanks a ton

It needs to be reset, and most auto parts stores will no longer do that. You could disconnect the battery, but it is recommended that you pull the fuse to it.
I simply changed oil and air filter, since I just bought it, and wanted to get it up to date to my service records.
While changing the air filter, I must have pulled a vacuum line just enough to set off the P0171,P0174 Too Lean codes.
I went throught and snugged everything up, reset computer, and just got back from a 45 mile drive and no SES light. Hopefully this did it!
Thanks again!
