Check and re-check....a hard lesson

A few days ago I installed a Performance Accessories 3" Body Lift on my 1995 F-150 (2x4). The installation went fairly smooth, and when I got done I noticed the shifter was not engaging fully in 2nd, 4th, and rev. (manual tran.). I ran down to Pep Boys and bought a thin leather shift boot replacement. Upon returning home and getting out of my truck I noticed a giant puddle of radiator fluid forming under the engine. Upon inspection the lower radiator hose had been drawn up as a result of the lift and had made contact with what I think is the wheel on the smog pump. Point being: when performing any kind of modification to your vehicle, always check every possible point, and impossible point where failure can occur. This was not mentioned in the instructions.

P.S. I spliced two new hoses together just slightly off center for a little more length, all good now.
