I just got back from the dealer ordering some stuff and found out me ol' warranty is up. Well that means time to play. Does anyone know if there is an exhaust manufacturer that has a 4" down pipe I've read MBRP is 3 1/2.If I'm gonna do it I want it to 4 all the way!
i think either stealths or mko's is a 4 and they are tons cheaper than mbrp
REALLY, where might I be able to look at or get one of those exhaust ,web site if you've got one .I know my jaw almost hit the floor at the price of some of mbrp stainless
i have Magnaflow system it has 4" downpipe and i didnt modifie the pinch weld, fitted right in, no problem, didnt have to do much adjustment either, not much more noise inside and nice sound to it.
BTW mine is SS and was like 600, for dual exhaust.

I second that, Magnaflow is the one I went with.
The muffler shop had to barely modify the pipe (small dent with a hammer) so it would clear the Right side Turbo up-pipe. $850.00 installed.....
4" magnaflow on mine SS put it in myself needed to cut a small stud off the firewall no other problems fit right in loads of room at least 1" clearance from anything worked really well. Cost me $400 shipped to my door from down there to up here! Noticeable change in performance.
maybe cheaper , but not better or equal to the magnaflow or MBRP. first off most guys get SS systems unless you dont live in Snowbelt and you never see snow, or you not planning to keep your truck.
than i paid 400 for duals SS, than got AccuSeal clamps 80$ and 120 for SS tips. 600$ so the only diference betwen Magnaflow SS and Stealth is 150$. and one is SS and one aluminum.
i had MKO system on my 7.3 and its a quality job exhaust, than i had HOG system on 7.3 which i would not recommend, the fit was not as good as MKO and was not to happy.
so those my opinions.
not trying to hijack the thread, but i wanted to ask since this is an issue i am interested in as well. For those of us who have to run cats for whatever reason, if we were to convert to a 4" downpipe, would our stock cat still work? would we have to find a cat with a 4" inlet? anyone know what the diameter is on the outlet of a stock cat?
you can cut the pipes of the old CAT and have 4" pipes welded to it. the pipe is 3.5" but its larger by the cat,4". all you need is a welder and you can get crafty. somone did it on thes forum. dont remember who....
