i am seriously considering a set of underdrive pullies for my bronco. i would appreciate anyone's info that know about them being either negative or positive. i would REALLY like to know what negative experiences people have had from them. the one i am look at is the ASP brand.i found them on sale on a site for $63 and have limited time to decide.

The biggest negative for the underdrive pulley kits is the fact that it will slow down your alternator and water pump. You can see how this could possibly cause problems. I almost went with an underdrive pulley kit until a rep from Ford Motorsport talked me out of it. If you run any audio equipment such as an amp, or electric fan the alternator may not be able to keep up. However, nobody knows your needs better than you, think about how you use the truck and what you hope to gain. Also keep in mind there are other ways to get more power.
