transfer case Question
Can a bad transfer case affect reverse. 2 wheel drive forward works great. I am have the front shaft rebuilt all the bearing were gone. Just got the truck so i dont know what the other owner did. when jacked up in 2 wd the reverse will work but when you stop the tire it has no power. I am strong but i shoudld not be able to stop it . Any advice ??

If any truck has an open (non locking type) rear differential.
The wheel that has the most traction (you holding the wheel) will lose power.
The wheel with the least traction will have all the power.
So could this be the condition you are describing?
