Acrilic see-thru fuel filter?

Anyone use the see-thru fuel filters on their carbed trucks? I just wondered how they work before I get one. Thanks. Don

yep!..they work well, had one on our 78 Bronco and now one on the deere lawn tractor...never leaked.
here is one from Summit Racing on-line catalog:
"Part# RUS-645390
Material Pyrex Glass and Aluminum
Finish Chrome Plated
This Russell Clear Flow fuel filter has a glass body, to allow easy viewing of the fuel and filter element. It has chrome ends with 1/4 in. female NPT threads and flared hose adapters to fit 1/4, 5/16, or 3/8 in. fuel lines. The nylon mesh filter element is replaceable."

Thanks, AIM. That's the type I want, and my Bronc is also a 78. How did you mount yours? I'm not sure that I have enough clearance if I come straight out of the carb with it. The thermostat housing is in the way. Thanks.

If you get one of these filters make DA*M sure it is glass and not acrylic/plastic. Seriously I could tell the story of using the Russel product and having it distort from heat untill it started spraying fuel all over the engine bay. It's kind of a funny story in restrospect but almost burned down the truck and my old lady.
