Dying problem...
houston, we have a problem. dad's 02 is dying. no matter if its on stock or what. he pulls out to pass, pushes down on it, check engine light comes on. it will die or sometimes he can let off and punch it again and she will go on, but CEL stays on about 5 miles. we can't have a chip issue with the thing doing it on stock can we? also sets a CEL under heavy throttle in extreme if you steady accelerate. i'm thinking HPOP?

First thing to do is to pull the chip. If the problems go away it's the chip. If the problems are still there, get it scanned for codes and post them. That will give us and idea on where to start.
