1995 Ford lightning

i was just wondering if the 351 in the 95 ford lightning is a roller block, thank you

yes it is a roller READY block. however it came with a flat tappet cam from factory. they started changing them in to roller blocks some time in mid 93.

1995 Ford lightning

Good upgrade, I heard, is to install a stock roller
cam out of a 5.0 mustang. Will work in late model '94s
and '95s only of course.

i wouldnt waste my time with a 5.0 cam. the cam in the lightning is a great torque making cam and gets the truck moving. i doubt any power gains would be had putting that cam in.

There ARE other roller cams available,If in doubt about what size cam to run call Summit or jegs.If you have a choice of a big or small cam always go with the milder one,unless your dealing with a allout race car and its a real high performance issue.
