133 - Wheelbase

MX - M - White. X - ? Check again, I don't recall a X paint code.

F101 - F100 w/ 4800 GVW

234 - check first two digits again. Should be alphabetical, not numbers. Last one is 4 which stands for Styleside pickup.

G - automatic transmission

09J - 09 = 3.25 Ford 2900 axle, J = w/ power steering. Although 09 is incorrect for '79. Are you sure?

04700? - GVW

52 - Dallas, TX

The parts truck I have is a 1974. And I checked and the codes I posted are right. I want to ask this b/c I haven't looked under a long wheelbase for awhile. But I didn't know they had a 2 piece drive shaft in them or do they. To me the carrier bearing would be a big weak point if pulling something heavy. Anyway sorry for not saying this was for a 74 model truck. The 79 I have under my post is the truck I'm building. Thanks Scott

Ah, Ok! Then I'll Change my Answer.

Scott
A carrier bearing is a weak spot, really?
Seems to me the "G" (automatic transmission) is the weak spot.

What about the first line?
F10 "Y" "M" or "H" by any chance? ;)

MX: M = Wimbledon White / X = Light Grabber Blue.

F101 = F100 2WD / 4,700 lbs. GVWR.

234: 23 = Medium Blue Vinyl // 4 = Styleside Pickup, Bench Seat.

G: 240/300 I-6 & 302 2V = C4 // 360/390/460 = C6.

09J: 09 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 3.70-1 / non Limited Slip / 3,300 lb. Rear Axle Capacity // J = Power Steering.

That color chip appears to be waaaay too dark for Wimbledon White, which in an off white....sometimes refered to as cream.

That chip looks like beige or tan.

The LIGHT Grabber Blue color chip also comes across as way too dark.

This is the typical problem when copying brochure color chips then posting them in forums.

The same thing occurs when using a digital camera.

All the chips, no matter what the color is, appear darker than original.

I know you are trying to be helpful, but by posting those chips, you are going to confuse some members as to what the true colors really are.

Light Grabber Blue was originally used on 1971/74 Maverick's.

The only way to fix it...is to edit your posts, and remove the color chips.

What all those color chips are going to do....is confuse people.

Light Grabber Blue is a very light shade of blue, comes across as dark blue in the chip.

All the various Grabber colors were introduced in 1971...on Mavericks.

Light Grabber Blue Is The Darker Blue, Wind Blue is the Lighter One. My 1973 was/is Wind Blue. It's like the color of the sky on a clear day.

This is of Course, if the tint of the picture above is correct, as well as my monitor settings. To many variables to be 100% accurate without the paint code.
