Explorer brake advice needed
'99 Explorer,4.0 SOHC, AWD, 124,000 mi.
I posted this in the Explorer forum, but got no responses.
2 questions: I need to replace brake pads & rotors front and rear. We want to keep this vehicle at least another 100,000 miles. It gets used about 1/2 city miles and 1/2 highway miles. Which brake pads and rotors would you recommend?
2nd question: I need to replace the brake fluid. If I keep the brake fluid reservoir full while bleeding the brakes, will it keep the ABS from tripping the sensor? I read somewhere that you have to have the Ford dealer reset some component if it's tripped.
