Hey everyone. I have a pair of headrest 7" monitors due to be delivered via UPS tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has installed them and have any tips? Just installed a double din 7" CD, DVD, TV deck to run them.
I learned how and have notes here, but I've never done it myself. I'll look up anything I can help with though.
Basically the install is mark out your frame, and cut an X. Don't cut all the way to the outline, leave the cut about a 1/4" shy. Remove some foam so the TV can fit into the seat. If you have a bucket, you can mount it to just the seat covering, or you can use something like plumber's strap to secure the box to the seat frame. Once the bucket is pretty much in, run the wires down and out, then click the TV in the box.
Looking into the same thing for my Ex. I too just purchased a radio with tv, etc. I was going to run the rca's to the vcr in the console to play the show on the over head unit. still thinking about it. Try to post some pics when your done.
I also have seen some clips on youtube. it looks really easy. Now of course the one that are installing are masters at it already.
