I have a 79 f 150 with 4 wheel drive, and my buddy is trying to sell me his 79 f 250 which is a two wheel drive, which i was thinking about buying because mine is a complete mess. If i buy his truck would it be hard putting four wheel drive in it from usin the parts from mine? Thanks for the help
This is pretty much what I did. I used an F150 frame and front end to convert my F250 to 4wd. Using the frame is SOO much easier than converting a 2wd frame.
by the time you build custom crossmembers, box the frame in the right places, swap and relocate the steering box, add coil towers, track bar bracket, and move shock towers, get custom radius arm brackets to fit
his frame will be more of a mess than yours ever could be
do a cab swap, and while you've got it apart sandblast and paint your existing frame.
