Air Pump Question

Hey guys I was wondering if I can remove my air pump from the pulley system without causing any problems on my 96 f150 302 efi. If so would I need a bypass pulley in order to still have the function of the tensioning pulley or will it be able to still keep the correct tension without.

Obd II are really sensitive don't mess with it if it aint throughin out codes I know dad owns one. I would say go for it if it was speed density (sd) like mine.

If its mass air, I am not sure what you should do. But if not I just removed my air pump stuff yesterday on my 92 F150 with a 302. I just removed the pump and bought a shorter belt today. For the vacuum lines. I removed them but left the solenoids with the electrical stuff plugged in. For the ports on back of the motor I cut the end parts that bolt to the head off and turned them around so now it blocks it. For the EGR valve mine was leaking around the exhaust inner shaft. Didn't want to buy a new one. I made a metal block off plate to the plenum and a small metal disck to block the pipe when I connected it. The vacuum is still hooked up and the egr still goes up and down so the computer still thinks its working. Drove it to work today. No problems.
